Editing Papers Taking Crazy Breaks

A college student might have been done with the paper but sadly, that’s not the last they have seen of it. All the long hours they spent on researching for the paper, forming ideas and then, writing them all down will be for nothing if it is not edited at the end. So, even if you are running out of patience and are ready to pull your hair off due to the sheer amount of boredom and monotony the paper has brought upon you, you still have to edit it. Yeah, there’s no getting out of it – and no, we are not trying to be evil; this is just how it’s done. However, we can offer you some ideas that might drag you out of your jadedness and help you begin editing with newfound energy. Are you prepared to take these crazy breaks in between editing? Here you go. Chew Gum Honestly, nothing can be a better distraction than a blast of flavors in your mouth when the lackluster paper is sucking all the energy out of you. Also, you might find out a better way doing it than you are feeling at the moment. Vent It out Trying to write one thing, but ending up writing something else, having an Internet connection which runs at a snail’s pace, or writing about a character who just rubs you the wrong way can be a frustrating task. And then, like a cherry on top, you have to read and write about it, present it and then, even answer questions about it. After all is done, you have to edit your writing all over again. We will completely understand if you suddenly rise up from your spot and start screaming your head off, launch punches on your pillow, or put your head out of the window and begin shouting profanities. These all might sound crazy, but it will definitely allow you to get your oomph back. Pro Tip: Ignore the weird looks your roommate might be giving you. Dance Working on the same thing over and over again can exhaust you mentally and physically and can even make you lose focus on editing. If you don’t want your essay to be full of grammatical and spelling mistakes, better take a break. Try putting on your favorite song, turn up the volume, and dance your heart out. A Karaoke Session No matter what you do, make sure it is interesting and has just a hint of craziness. When your adrenaline is pumping and you find that you are enjoying yourself, you’ll automatically feel better. Karaoke, for instance, can instantly fill you with energy and you’ll probably end up editing papers much effectively and quickly after this break. Also, sing out loud, even if you can give Rebecca Black a run for her money. Take a Power Nap If you have been working all night, a power nap is definitely a must. Just make sure you will get back up after a few hours and your mind will work much better. Bake Cookies Different people have different ways of relieving stress, and most of them find baking a very comforting task. If you think you can handle a batch, give your baking skills a try. Run a Marathon, or Just Run Running can help clear your mind. If you have time, try running a marathon and if time is short, just head out and run in no particular direction. You’ll feel much better after it. We assure you that once you take any of the above mentioned crazy breaks, you’ll be more focused on your editing task and won’t find it that bad.
